Tim's goal is construction management. Whether earthworks, drainage construction or traffic route construction, the technical trainee has already got to know a lot at STRABAG. Always at his side and the first person to contact when he has something on his mind: his buddy. This role is usually taken on by a former trainee or sometimes another team member.

Tim spends a total of one year of his traineeship in Germany and a further three months abroad, in the UK to be precise. There he will work on a tunnel construction project near London.

  • Especially at STRABAG, the trainee program offers a broad overview. After graduation, you are guided step by step into the working world.

About the trainee program at STRABAG

Not just for future site managers: In addition to the technical trainee program, STRABAG also offers a commercial trainee program. In both programs, university graduates are optimally prepared for their career start in their future position. There is plenty of time to try things out and get to know the Group in depth: the commercial trainee program lasts 11 to 13 months, the technical program 12 to 15 months. 3 insights that Tim has gained during his time as a trainee so far:

• "There is an immediate sense of team spirit at STRABAG, no matter where I go, whether it's at a training course or on a construction site."
• "A construction project can only be successfully completed as a team. The trainee program offers the opportunity to get to know different teams throughout the Group personally."
• Tim's advice to future trainees: "A high level of motivation and self-discipline is an advantage. In general, it is important to be open and willing to learn new things. You learn a lot during your studies. But on a construction site, you learn something new every day."
