Name:
Finn Lorenzl
Company:
STRABAG AG
Current position
Site manager

What do you do as a site manager?

My tasks include the preparation and  of construction measures. In addition, construction site controlling is an important component. In detail, this means that I am responsible for the correct equipment, personnel planning, subcontractor coordination, but also the direct contact with our client.

How did you get into the construction industry?

I was taken to civil engineering sites at an early age by my father and grandfather, who are also both civil engineers, so it was clear to me while I was still at school that I would like to work in the construction industry later on.

How did you become a site manager?

After my Abitur in Braunschweig, I did an internship at a construction site. This activity then led to a job during my studies. Following this activity, I was allowed to work as a construction site
trainee in Singapore for 6 months. I was then allowed to join as a site manager at the end of my studies.

  • When we complete a project successfully, it makes me incredibly proud as a site manager. I then usually look back on the challenge we have mastered. This also strengthens me for future projects.

What does you team mean to you?

The team is my top priority. Without my construction site team, but also my office team, we cannot successfully complete construction sites.
