...in the thick of things instead of just being there: Safety and Health Days

In May, the interaction between site managers, occupational safety and occupational health management at the Lemgo and Nörvenich sites (both in Germany) was all about the health and safety of our employees at work and beyond. All employees were able to actively participate, exercise, balance and learn about healthy nutrition at 12 different health and safety-oriented activity booths.

At the "Fit at the excavator" station, valuable exercises for the back, shoulder and neck area were provided, as well as therabands and excavator cards, which participants could then take away for continuous use in the workplace.

The occupational health service also provided information on the subject of skin health during the activity days. In addition to a model of the new protective clothing, the hearing protectors brought along by the employees were individually adjusted on site and the feet were measured for ergonomic shoe inserts.
